Ahead of Halloween on the 31st, the government will strengthen safety management in preparation for crowded accidents.

Minister of Public Administration and Security Lee Sang-min reported on 'safety management measures for multiple transportation crowds such as Halloween' at a Cabinet meeting presided over by Prime Minister Han Deok-soo today (22nd).

The government plans to operate a special Halloween preparation period for eight days from the 25th to the 1st of next month, and focus on inspecting 27 areas where large crowds gather, including Itaewon, Hongdae, Seomyeon, Busan, and Dongseong-ro, Daegu.

In particular, 12 areas with high crowd density will dispatch a site situation manager from the Ministry of Public Administration and Security to manage the situation directly with local governments, police, and fire fighting agencies.

The government will also support the preparation of a standard manual for crisis management so that each public facility, such as a concert hall or a large store, can establish a safety management system for crowds by January next year.
