The Media Special Committee, headed by Rep. Lee Sang-hwi, issued a statement, claiming that a Newstapa reporter who attended the National Assembly's parliamentary inspection on the 21st as a reference had revealed decisive clues.
Earlier, the reporter answered the question about how he reported the civil petitioner of Korea Communications Standards Commission as a relative of Korea Communications Standards Commission Chairman Ryu Hee-rim, to the effect that he used the IP address of the civil petitioner in the data obtained.
The special committee stressed that a quick investigation is needed to reveal the source and process of the complaint, saying that personal information, such as whether the complainant submitted the complaint, content, and IP address, can only be found inside the Korea Communications Standards Commission.
