A photo of a North Korean flag placed alongside the Russian flag in a battleground in eastern Ukraine has been posted on social media, drawing attention to its authenticity.

The pro-Russian Telegram account, which shares the situation in the Ukraine war, posted a photo of the North Korean flag stuck together on the 21st and said, "The North Korean flag has been hoisted over the Pokrovsk front mine."

"The actions of our fighters have caused great confusion to the enemy," he added.

There was no supplementary explanation, but it was also interpreted as meaning that the North Korean military was decorated as if there were none, and it was pointed out as one of the propaganda campaigns.

In fact, Andriy Kovalenko, the head of the National Security and Defense Council's (NSDC) disinformation response center, said on Telegram, "Russia is now highlighting North Korea-related topics and trying to use them as fear propaganda against Ukraine."

The U.S. Radio Free Asia also interpreted Kovalenko's remarks as "a message to be wary of propaganda that seeks to undermine the morale of the Ukrainian military."

However, the possibility cannot be ruled out as evidence of North Korea's participation in the war, given that the front line of Pokrovsk, Donetsk, where the North Korean military is believed to be dispatched and active.
