9 people evacuated from Chuncheon poultry farm fire...170,000 chickens will burn.

A fire broke out at the poultry farm in Sinbuk-eup, Chuncheon-si, Gangwon-do at around 5:50 p.m. today (22nd).

Nine employees were evacuated and no one was injured, but more than 170,000 chickens in Gye-sa were killed and four buildings, including a warehouse, were burned, causing an estimated 1 billion won in damage.

Fire authorities, which extinguished the large blaze in about two hours, say the fire appears to have started at the poultry farm warehouse, and plan to extinguish all the fire and investigate the exact cause of the fire.
