The cryptocurrency-based betting site Polymarket predicted a 65% chance of former President Trump winning the election and 35% for Vice President Kamala Harris.
Polymarket speculated that former President Trump, in particular, would win over Vice President Harris in all seven competing states.
Tesla CEO Elon Musk, who is on Trump's side, is encouraging supporters to participate, arguing that betting sites with real money at stake are more accurate than polls.
On the other hand, some are raising the possibility that the betting site was manipulated for political purposes.
The Wall Street Journal said the investment pattern was the same in the four accounts that put $30 million on Trump's victory, and said it was an attempt to make Trump look favorable.
