In an interview with U.S. military media outlet Warzone reported on the 22nd local time, Kirillo Budanow said he was waiting for the first unit to come to Kursk tomorrow.
Kursk is a Russian territory seized by Ukrainian forces in August, and if North Korean troops are deployed, they may be used to prevent Ukrainian troops from advancing, Budanow predicted.
It also added that the size and equipment of the North Korean military's troops are unclear, but it will be known in a day or two.
Budanow did not provide specific circumstances or grounds.
