Actor Kwak Do-won, who caused a drunk driving scandal, appeared in the trailer of the movie "Firefighter."

The movie "Firefighter" depicts the situation of firefighters who were put in with a single goal of extinguishing fire and saving power despite poor conditions during the 2001 Hongje-dong fire disaster. Today (23rd), the distributor confirmed the release of "Firefighter" on December 4 and released the first trailer.

The film was filmed in 2020, but the release date was not set due to the aftermath of COVID-19. Then, in 2022, the release was postponed indefinitely as lead actor Kwak Do-won was caught driving under the influence. After four years of production, it was finally confirmed to be released.

Kwak Do-won appeared briefly in the trailer for the first movie. It's a moment, but his look at the new firefighter Chul-woong (played by Joo Won) with a bright smile was revealed. In addition, Kwak Do-won's voice, which used lines in the play, was also used as a narration.

Kwak Do-won was partially edited in "Firefighter" and will not participate in promotional activities. Nevertheless, as the actor's appearance, which caused a social stir in the movie featuring the firefighters, has not been edited, there is a concern that it will reduce the immersion.

The movie "Firefighter" is directed by Kwak Kyung-taek, who has captured the authenticity of a true story in his work. In fact, it vividly captures the urgent situation on the spot with the western fire department team members who were dispatched to extinguish the fire in Hongje-dong in March 2001.
