North Chungcheong Province Calls for Heavy Punishment for Senior Officers 'Death of Grade 9 Public Officials in Goesan-gun'

Chungcheongbuk-do Province conducted an audit of its superior B on the case in which 38-year-old A, a ninth-grade civil servant in Goesan-gun, was found dead at home in March, judging that there were excessive orders to work, and demanded heavy punishment from Goesan-gun.

However, Mr. B reportedly objected to the audit results and requested a retrial.

Earlier on March 4, when A was found dead in a studio apartment in Goesan-eup, Goesan-gun, the bereaved family filed a complaint with the Board of Audit and Inspection, claiming that A suffered from bullying and excessive work at work.
