Since the launch of the 8th popular election, Incheon has steadily increased the number of vehicles every year to meet the legal number by 2025, aiming to improve the mobility of the transportation vulnerable, and as a result, it achieved 100% of the legal number this year.
This achievement was especially pushed to address the expected inconvenience caused by the increased demand for call taxis for the disabled and the expansion of wide-area operations following the COVID-19 pandemic.
The legal number of call taxis for the disabled is one for every 150 people with severe walking disabilities in accordance with the Enforcement Regulations of the Transportation Convenience Promotion Act, and the legal number in Incheon is 255.
