Regarding the tourism industry, Rep. Yang Boo-nam of the Democratic Party of Korea and others pointed out, "Jeju Island was the No. 1 in travel satisfaction in 2016, but it plunged to 4th place in 2023 and 7th place this year."
Jeju Governor Oh Young-hoon said about Da-hye's allegations, "A self-governing police investigator checked the housing site, but the door was locked and could not enter," and the tourism industry replied, "As overseas travel became possible again from the second half of 2022, the number of domestic tourists visiting Jeju suddenly decreased."
