A hospital executive arrested in connection with the alleged kickback of Korea Pharmaceutical Co. is suspected of receiving 1.4 billion won from Korea Pharmaceutical Co.
The arrest warrant applied by the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency's Criminal Investigation Unit was confirmed to contain allegations that A, a high-ranking employee of a local general hospital, received about 1.4 billion won in rebates from Korea Pharmaceutical from 2017 to last year.
The police are investigating whether A had prescribed Goryeo Pharmaceutical products to hospital doctors and shared the money.
Earlier, the police applied for an arrest warrant for A and three doctors, of which A and a doctor were arrested.
