Berkshire Hathaway posted a statement on its website, saying there are false claims on social media that Mr. Buffett recommends investment products or supports certain candidates, and that Mr. Buffett does not do that.
CNBC said Buffett's statement was made because he discovered on Instagram that fake declarations of support were circulating that stole Buffett's image.
Buffett told CNBC that he doesn't even know how to access Instagram, and that he wants to let people know that he is never himself, even if his image or voice comes out.
