Flames rise with the sound of an explosion that shakes the earth's axis.

Turkiye's largest defense contractor, which produces civilian aircraft and fighter jets, and Turkey Aerospace Industries have come under attack.

The gunmen, who arrived by taxi, detonated a bomb and caused confusion before entering the facility.

They were armed with rifles, and several people were killed or seriously injured in their attacks.President Erdogan of Turkiye

heard the news of the disaster while working on the BRICS summit.

[Resef Tayyip Erdogan / President of Turkiye: Thank you for your condolences. I condemn this heinous terrorist attack. May the martyrs have God's mercy.]

Two of the shooters were also killed at the scene.

Now the interest is who is behind the bold crime.

Turkiye's government said it was investigating the incident, but it did not hide doubts about the separatist Kurdistan Workers' Party.

[Galip Dalay / Chatham House Researcher: Judging from the on-site footage, it's likely that far-left forces, the PKK (Kurdish Workers' Party), or similar terrorist organizations are behind it]

Turkiye has labeled the Kurdistan Workers' Party and Kurdish militiamen as its biggest security threat and has continued airstrikes targeting its base on the border between Iraq and Syria.
