"Going to the set is going to play with me. But it takes a lot of preparation to play well."Actor Park Ji-hwan of

met with YTN star at a cafe in Samcheong-dong, Jongno-gu, Seoul this afternoon (24th) to share his acting philosophy with the behind-the-scenes story of the Disney+ original 'Gangmae-gang'.

"Gangmae Gang" is a comic investigation in which the nation's last-place strong class and the new super elite class leader meet to become the strongest one team. The title is short for 'not strong but attractive strong class'.

Park Ji-hwan is a bulldozer detective from the Olympic national team and played "Gravity" with the charm of Homme Fatal.

"That setting was really awkward," he said, expressing his feelings about playing "The Magical Man" even though it was lacking somewhere in the play. The director told me to act thinking that pheromones flow, but I told him to act because he doesn't have that charm in reality. I couldn't stand it myself, so I burst out laughing," he confessed.

Park Ji-hwan, who does not monitor his acting after filming, said, "The monitor doesn't help me very much. I think that's all I have to do if I make it and enjoy it to the best of my ability. I don't like to make it more plausible while monitoring. Also, even if I'm not good enough, maybe the other actor is doing the best acting right now. If it's not good, the coach will ask you to do it again on your own, so I'm just trusting you," he said.

He showed a lot of comedy performances earlier. While most actors said, "The more difficult it is to act in comedy, the more difficult it is," Park Ji-hwan said, "I don't set such limits on my own."

He said, "It's not harder for me because it's comedy. Because I think acting is a fun thing to make with the other person. Unlike preparing alone, if you have an opponent, other people's things look better, but to me, acting itself is just playing. There is no fixed level of acting. If a colleague is great and wonderful, I get it right away. So I'm more excited and think, 'Is this set a mountain or an ocean, let's go play.'

However, he said, "Instead, I prepare a lot (for scripts, etc.) to have fun." I don't care who wins on the set, so I hope it's fun," he stressed.

Park Ji-hwan, who has been busy this year, has appeared in the movie "The Outlaws 4," "Handsome Guys," the drama "In the Forest with No One," and "Queen Woo-shi." He even mastered entertainment through camping, and he was given the title of a "generation actor."

However, Park Ji-hwan expressed caution, saying, "It's the right time to go wrong." I was controlling my mind so that I wouldn't be swayed by public reputation, and I was refining the inside in my own way.

He said, "I have a teacher who sometimes looks for me when I'm having a hard time. I talk about my concerns and listen to advice. This is not the time to be drunk on the ceremony," he confessed.

"An actor like me who is lacking should try to stay awake," he said. I'm always good at it. I'm always good at it, but I know myself well. I try to maintain clear energy and tension on the set," he said, showing humility.

A total of 20 episodes of "Gangmae Gang" have been released until the 16th episode, and two episodes are available every Wednesday.
