According to the message released through media reports, a lawmaker sent a Telegram message to Chief Shin, saying, "If we cooperate with the Ukrainian military, let's bomb North Korean troops and strike missiles to cause damage."
Rep. Han then sent a message saying, "It would be nice to use the damage as a psychological warfare to North Korea, and we don't need a liaison officer," but Director Shin said he would take good care of it, saying it would be like that.
Regarding this, Democratic Party lawmakers pointed out that if North Korea takes issue with it as a declaration of war, it could lead to a security crisis, saying, "Is it a new north wind operation that the party, Yongsan, and the Ministry of National Defense are making together?"
People's Power lawmakers countered that private conversations are private and that they should not be used politically.
Representative Han Ki-ho explained that lawmakers who could not criticize North Korea's dispatch of troops to Russia said it was absurd to demonize personal conversations and that it was necessary to inform the North Korean people of the dispatch.
Defense Minister Kim Yong-hyun also said, "The two of you exchanged opinions in a private conversation, and it is completely different from the government's policy or direction, so please refrain from expanding the interpretation."
