An award ceremony was held for 'artists' who showed outstanding performances in movies, plays, etc. during the year.

This year's film artist category, which marks its 14th anniversary, was won by actor Hwang Jung-min and theater artist Son Jin-chaek.

It is an award ceremony to select Korean artists who have played an active role in movies, plays, good deeds, and achievements every year.

The first person to be on the podium was actor Hwang Jung-min.

It has been selected as the winner of the "Beautiful Artist Award" in the film artist category, which marks its 14th anniversary this year.

[Hwang Jung-min / Actor: I will cherish it more meaningfully than any other award because you gave me strength and courage to live a good life as an artist.]

Hwang Jung-min was recognized for his contribution to the development of Korean films and the love of many audiences through a total of 47 works, including the movie Veteran series, Wailing, and Seoul Spring.

Shin Min-ah, who has been making warm donations for disadvantaged children, female patients, and the elderly living alone for more than 20 years, won the Good People Artist Award given to the preceding celebrity.

[Shinmin / Actor: I will also donate the precious award you gave me today to those who are waiting for help in a difficult environment.]

The independent film category went to director Kim Deok-young, who re-examined President Rhee Syng-man's historical records through the documentary film The Founding War.

Director Son Jin-chaek, a master play who has modernized traditional plays based on human love, won the Drama category, while Kim Dong-ho, the first executive chairman of the Busan International Film Festival, who has been dedicated to the development and globalization of Korean films, received the Achievement Award.

The Arts and Culture Foundation, established with the appearance of senior actor Shin Young-kyun, has been awarding artists who have shown outstanding activities in five categories every year.
