The Korean Bar Association said in a statement today (25th) that it actively welcomes the ruling that reaffirmed the publicity and ethics of the attorney's job.
He also stressed that private legal platform services will prevent a healthy mandate order from being undermined, and that related industries will be supported and monitored to develop within the scope of the Lawyers Act.
Earlier in 2021, the Korean Bar Association and the Seoul Bar Association defined lawyers who joined or used Rotok as violating the "lawyer advertising regulations" and imposed disciplinary measures such as a fine of 3 million won.
The FTC later fined the two groups 1 billion won each, saying such actions limited competition between lawyers and consumer options, but the court canceled the sanctions.
