Hwang Sun-woo, Korea's leading swimming star, won by decision in his showdown with the 100m freestyle world champion Pan Zanler.
Hwang Sun-woo finished second in the men's 100m freestyle final in 46.60 seconds at Munhak Park Tae-hwan Swimming Pool in Incheon.
First place was won by Jamie Jack of Australia, who took a touchpad in 46.48 seconds, while Paris Olympic gold medalist Van Zanler finished fourth.
