The spokesperson's office issued a statement today (26th) explaining that Room 3, which some claim to be a luxury facility, was a glass greenhouse that had already been installed before the official residence and had stored potted plants.
He also said the dress room is much smaller compared to the facilities installed in the existing Cheong Wa Dae residence and that there is no sauna, expressing strong regret over the groundless false claims and related reports.
The spokesman's office added, however, that the presidential office and the official residence are important national facilities and cannot give specific details.
Earlier, in the parliamentary audit of the National Assembly's Legislation and Judiciary Committee, Rep. Jang Kyung-tae and Lee Sung-yoon of the Democratic Party of Korea claimed that the presidential office had luxury facilities related to Kim and demanded that the minutes of the Board of Audit and Inspection be released.
