South Jeolla Province's garden has been built in the world-famous city of New York, the U.S.

It was modeled after Damyang's 'Small House'.

It is expected to become a popular place to spread the beautiful garden culture of Jeollanam-do to the world.

It is a tea field in Boseong, Jeollanam-do, the "green tea capital" selected by CNN as the "world's amazing scenery."

The tea field, which winds in steps from the slope, is literally a picturesque view and a healing attraction.

[Kim Chul-woo / Boseong County, South Jeolla Province: We will create a garden in the world where people can enjoy and experience Boseong tea with a thousand years of history so that it can represent Korea]

Damyang's Soswaewon, a representative forest where nature and humans blend, is a place where you can feel the noble character of a scholar.

A garden with a motif of a small garden has opened in New York City, the center of the world.

[Hwang Ji-hae / Jungwon Writer] It expresses the 'Aeyangdan' located in a very sunny place. [This "Aeyangdan" means "Dan who loves the sun."]

The Jeonnam Garden in New York is built with traditional tiles and contains simplicity and lightness with soy sauce jar and well representing Namdo's pickling culture.

In particular, the tree made good use of the characteristics of traditional Korean gardens by planting tree species that grow in Korea, such as Shintang tree and fresh fruit ear tree.

[Kim Young-rok / Governor of South Jeolla Province] This painting captures the spirit of South Jeolla Province and shows us the tranquility and beauty of the garden and the connection with nature. It is thanks to the inspiration of the traditional garden in Damyang, Jeollanam-do, which represents Korea.

A total of 9.8 million tourists visited the Suncheon Bay National Garden Fair last year.

More than 40 different gardens in Jeollanam-do are also attracting tourists all year round.

The Jeonnam Garden, which opened in New York, is expected to be a place to promote and exchange the beauty of the Jeonnam garden and traditional Korean culture.
