In the last three years and eight months, more than 1,700 cases have been received by the School Violence Countermeasures Review Committee for digital sex crimes.

According to the data received by Kang Kyung-sook of the Cho Kuk Innovation Party of the National Assembly Education Committee from 16 provincial offices of education, a total of 1,727 cases of digital sexual crimes were punished by elementary, middle and high school violence committees nationwide from 2021 to August.

Among the school violence measures, 765 cases and 44.3% were found to have received "serious measures" above the 6th suspension of attendance.

Gyeonggi Province had the largest number of major measures with 211, followed by 102 in Gyeongnam, 66 in Seoul and 63 in Chungnam.

As a major example, the perpetrator produced and distributed false videos of the victim or posted illegal composites on social media.
