The Vietnamese government has taken an emergency response, believing that Trami will land in the central region on the morning of the 27th and cause heavy rain, strong winds, floods and landslides.
The Vietnam Meteorological Administration predicted up to 700mm of rain in Quang Binh Province and Quang Nam Province by the 28th.
Authorities have asked people to refrain from going out except for personnel on disaster response missions and banned ships from leaving the country.
At the same time, four major airports in the central region - Da Nang International Airport, Tertienhuhe Province's Fubai International Airport, Quang Binh Province's Donghoi Airport and Quang Nam's Churai Airport - have been suspended.
Prior to Vietnam, nearly 130 people were killed or missing in the Philippines due to Trami.
Last month, the Philippines and Vietnam suffered serious damage, with more than 40 people killed or missing and 323 killed each due to the super typhoon "Yagi."
