Prime Minister Han visited a cabbage mountain in Asan, South Chungcheong Province, this afternoon, harvested cabbage with farmers, and listened to the opinions of farmers and the National Agricultural Cooperative Federation.
Prime Minister Han said at the meeting that wholesale prices of cabbages have been falling recently, and that measures are being taken to ensure that cabbages are properly supplied as they are a daily necessity for the people.
At the same time, the Minister of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs Song Mi-ryeong asked the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs, the Rural Development Administration, and local governments to make every effort before the cabbage is shipped.
He also added that relevant ministries should implement measures to stabilize the supply and demand of kimchi ingredients without a hitch and explain them well so that consumers can use them effectively.
