The inflow of smog from China overnight worsened fog and fine dust, mainly in the western region.

Currently, the concentration of ultrafine dust in Incheon is "bad," and the fog and dust are expected to blur the view inland by morning.

Due to the influence of the east wind, it is said that the east coast is raining with rather strong winds.

I'll connect you to a reporter.

Reporter Kim Min-kyung, the view was very cloudy on the way to work, but the concentration of ultrafine dust in Incheon is also bad?

[Reporter]
Yes, if the average ultrafine dust concentration per hour exceeds 36μg per cubic meter, it is classified as 'bad'.

As of 8 a.m., the average hourly ultrafine dust concentration in Incheon was 44 micrograms per cubic meter.

At one point in the early morning, it rose to 78μg per cubic meter in Dong-gu, Incheon, to the level of "very bad."

In Nae-dong, Bucheon-si, Gyeonggi-do, it rose to 68μg and Guro-gu, Seoul, 57μg.

The concentration of ultrafine dust in the metropolitan area, except Incheon, has now been lowered to a 'normal' level, but
Until the morning of
, there is a possibility that the concentration of ultrafine dust may temporarily rise to the 'bad' level in the metropolitan area, Chungnam, Jeonbuk, and Gwangju, so caution is needed.

By morning, the visibility of most of the inland areas was less than 200m, and the fog was very thick.

Now, the temperature is gradually decreasing as the temperature gradually rises, but it is expected that there will be thick places around some inland areas by morning.

Due to the thick fog, low-correction warnings were issued at Incheon, Gimpo, Cheongju, and Sacheon airports.

Air traffic users should check their flight information in advance as there may be disruptions in flight operations by morning.

It's raining on the east coast?

[Reporter]
Yes, due to the influence of the east wind, it began to rain from dawn on the east coast.

The rain is expected to expand inland in Gangwon Province in the morning and some inland areas in North Gyeongsang Province in the afternoon, southern North Chungcheong Province, and the coast of South Jeolla Province.

The amount of rain is not large.

10 to 60mm is expected on the east coast of Gangwon-do, and 5 to 10mm is expected in inland areas such as the east coast of Gyeongsangbuk-do, Busan, and Ulsan.

However, it is expected that the wind speed will be accompanied by a rather strong wind speed of 15m per second, so care should be taken in facility management.

Most of the rain will stop by today, but Jeju Island is expected to receive 5 to 40mm of rain tomorrow.
