The Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention emphasized that stroke and myocardial infarction are serious diseases that can lead to death without quick diagnosis and proper treatment, and that it is necessary to know early symptoms to minimize aftereffects in the event of an outbreak.
Symptoms of stroke and myocardial infarction are characterized by sudden appearance of paralysis of one limb, sudden speech and visual impairment, dizziness, and severe headache, and stroke should be suspected.
In addition, sudden chest pain or pressure, severe pain or frustration in the jaw, neck, or back are early symptoms of myocardial infarction.
It is important to recognize early symptoms in advance for treatment to increase the survival rate of patients, but last year's community health survey showed that the recognition rates of stroke and myocardial infarction early symptoms were only 62% and 52.9%, respectively.
Accordingly, the Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said that the elderly, chronically ill, and high-risk groups with a past history need health care in preparation for the risk of cardio-cerebrovascular disease and worsening in winter.
