North Korea's 2.3-magnitude earthquake in Gilju, North Hamgyong Province... analyzed as a 'natural earthquake'

A magnitude 2.3 earthquake struck near Gilju, North Hamgyong Province, North Korea, at around 2:11 p.m. today (28th).

The epicenter of the earthquake is 39 kilometers north-northwest of Gilju, North Hamgyong Province, and the Korea Meteorological Administration says it is analyzed as a "natural earthquake."

This year, 17 earthquakes with a magnitude of 2.0 or higher occurred near Gilju, North Hamgyong Province, and 71 earthquakes occurred across the Korean Peninsula.
