In Hoengseong, there was a similar misfire in July, and not long ago, a wild boar-chasing funny man was shot and killed by one of the group in Yeoncheon-gun, Gyeonggi-do.

Accidents that shoot people while trying to catch wild boars are repeated every year.

As a result, the government has come up with measures since July, such as granting permission in consideration of experience and proficiency for safety when applying for permission to capture nocturnal harmful tide such as wild boars.

However, there are voices saying that it is a priority to repair the reward system.

Since 2019, reward has been paid for catching wild boars who have contracted or suspected of having African swine fever, and it is pointed out that it encourages excessive capture rather than paying attention to safety.
