Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov responded to North Korea's dispatch of troops to Russia, saying, "Ukraine already has Western mercenaries."

According to Tas news agency, Lavrov responded to a question about the possibility of a counter-attack on Ukraine in the West after the North Korean military's dispatch of troops to Russia emerged at a press conference after a meeting with Kuwait's foreign minister on the 28th."President Putin has repeatedly presented specific data that Western soldiers are fighting in the Ukrainian military," Lavrov said. "It is an attempt to justify what the West is already doing to make deceptive remarks about sending troops under some pretext."

"The Western military has been active in Ukraine for a long time," he said. "This is part of a hybrid war between NATO and the European Union against Russia, which we are well aware of.""Russia's relationship with North Korea is absolutely honest and open," Lavrov said, stressing that the full text of the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership Treaty signed with North Korea is open.

"This treaty does not violate any provisions of international law because, above all, it is supposed to provide mutual support if either side is attacked by a military attack," he said.
