A fire in a multi-family house in Anyang...A drunken man in his 60s set ablaze.

Anyang Manan Police Station in Gyeonggi Province is investigating a man in his 60s for setting his house on fire under the influence of alcohol.

Mr. A, a Chinese national, is accused of setting fire to the third floor of a four-story multi-family house in Anyang-dong, Yanyang-si, at around 9:40 p.m. yesterday (28th).

No one was injured as the fire department issued the first stage of response and put out the fire within 30 minutes, but about 10 surprised residents were evacuated.

Mr. A, who left the house after starting the fire, was arrested on the street in two hours drunk and admitted to setting the police on fire.

The police plan to decide whether to apply for an arrest warrant while investigating detailed motives for the crime.
