The National Intelligence Service analyzed that North Korea has raised the level of security in preparation for the possibility of Kim Jong-un's assassination.

The National Intelligence Service identified a total of 110 public activities by Kim Jong-un this year.

Compared to the same period last year, the number of public moves has increased by more than 60%, and the security level has also been upgraded.

Against this backdrop, the National Intelligence Service reported at the parliamentary audit of the National Assembly Intelligence Committee that it was prepared for an assassination by foreign factors.

It was also evaluated that it is preparing to launch a reconnaissance satellite that failed in May through technical cooperation with Russia, which is also mentioned as a counter-benefit for the dispatch.

The NIS has not yet identified a clear trend, but reported that it is closely monitoring the possibility of a seventh nuclear test by North Korea after the U.S. presidential election.
