At around 0:50 a.m. today (30th), a fire broke out in a detached house in Gaun-dong, Sangju-si, Gyeongsangbuk-do, and was extinguished in about an hour and 20 minutes.
A resident in his 60s who was trying to put out the fire got burned and was taken to a hospital and part of the house burned.
Police and fire authorities believe the fire started inadvertently while using the furnace and are investigating the exact cause.
