Parts of the North Korean military have already entered Ukraine, CNN reported, citing multiple Western intelligence officials. An official at

said many North Korean troops appear to have already begun operations.

Until now, the general observation was that the North Korean military would be deployed to the Kursk region, a Russian-occupied territory in Ukraine.

CNN pointed out that the North Korean military's presence inside Ukraine is a step further from this evaluation.

However, the U.S. is still cautious.

The U.S. government is reportedly asking the Chinese government to pressure North Korea to withdraw its troops.

The U.S. has also asked other countries to persuade China, and U.S. government officials recently said National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan has instructed authorities.

In response, State Department spokesman Matthew Miller said he had clearly communicated U.S. concerns about North Korea's dispatch to China, stressing that neighboring China should also be concerned about Russia's and North Korea's actions.

However, skepticism prevails over whether China, which supports Russia behind the scenes, will intervene in the dispatch of North Korean troops.
