According to the industry on the 30th, Lotte Department Store, Shinsegae Department Store, and Hyundai Department Store will unveil Christmas decorations on the 1st of next month.
First, Lotte Department Store will introduce Christmas decorations under the theme of "Wonderful Showtime" sequentially, starting with all stores and Lotte Outlet. The headquarters in Sogong-dong, Seoul, decorated streets and entrances with colorful neon signs, making it look like walking in musical theaters such as Broadway in the 1900s. Through three large show windows (glass windows), Korean artists will perform various performance scenes from jazz to circus.
In particular, for the first time this year, it will present a "lighting show" that illuminates the outer wall. It will be held for two minutes every 30 minutes from 5:30 p.m. to 11 p.m. using 20,000 LED bulbs.
Shinsegae Department Store, which has been reborn as a "certified photo spot" with colorful media facade videos every year at the end of the year, will present a media facade on the exterior of its headquarters in Myeong-dong under the theme of "Finding Christmas Moments." The four-minute video will show Shinsegae headquarters turning into a Christmas castle, an amusement park decorated with colorful lights in the night sky, and a large tree spread out in the Christmas village.
Through this, the "Shinsegae Square," a 1,292.3㎡ super-large digital signage (display installed in public or commercial spaces), which is the size of three basketball courts that have been built since May, will also be unveiled for the first time. Shinsegae Square is part of Myeongdong Square, a free display area for outdoor advertisements that colors the area from Myeong-dong to Eulji-ro with video media.
In addition to the main branch, Gangnam branch, Centum City branch, and Daegu Shinsegae prepare Christmas photo zones along with interior decorations tailored to the year-end atmosphere. In particular, a 4.5-meter-high Christmas tree will be built on the first floor of Central City in Gangnam branch, while The Stage on the fifth floor of Daegu Shinsegae will be decorated with Ferris wheel and hot air balloon.
Hyundai Department Store will showcase 15 stores nationwide, including The Hyundai Seoul branch, Apgujeong headquarters, and Trade Center branches, and Connect Hyundai Busan will showcase circus villages in European fairy tales under the concept of "a moving grand theater." It tells the story of Harry, the main character, who embarks on a hot air balloon and goes on an adventure high in the sky to find the moving grand theater that puts on the best show.
In particular, The Hyundai Seoul, which caused the Christmas open run chaos last year, will float six hot air balloon models 7 meters high and 5 meters wide in the Sound Forest on the fifth floor. The entrance to Sound Forest is decorated with velvet curtains as if entering a circus in fantasy. When you enter the entrance, you can experience the magic theater, the stunt theater, and the music theater in turn.
The Apgujeong headquarters has an orgel-type kinetic art (moving sculptures) that can be enjoyed from 360 degrees on each floor, and the Trade Center branch sets up a large circus tent and rotating tree in front of the building to create a luxurious circus village atmosphere. Pangyo branch plans to float a small hot air balloon model air balloon in the vertical space between the first and fifth floors.
Each store also operates a Christmas pop-up store, Harry Store.
