A month's worth of heavy rain poured into Spain on the 29th, local time, causing damage, including at least seven people missing.

According to foreign media, heavy rains in eastern and southern Spain flooded roads and caused casualties.

So far, six people are reported missing in Castile-La Mancha and one in Valencia.

In Andalusia, a high-speed train carrying 276 passengers derailed due to heavy rain, fortunately no one was injured.

Spain's airport operator Aena said 12 flights scheduled to land at Valencia airport were diverted to other airports, while 10 were canceled.

The city of Valencia has ordered all schools to close, canceled sporting events and closed parks.

Spain's weather service said the damage was caused by a huge amount of heavy rain, more than a month's worth of rain in a single day, with four times as much rain falling in a single day, particularly in Andalusia.

The downpour was attributed to a sudden drop in temperature due to a cold front across southeastern Spain.
