The Gunsan branch of the Jeonju District Prosecutors' Office indicted Lee Jang-ho, the president of the National Gunsan University, without detention on charges of unfairly pocketing 2.2 billion won in national project expenses.

In connection with the new and renewable energy research national project, which was conducted as the head of research in 2021, President Lee is accused of pocketing the project cost by decorating it as if it had been completed.

The prosecution's investigation also found that Lee decided to receive 300 million won from the head of the construction company in exchange for providing benefits such as construction orders between 2018 and 2019.
