Xiaomi has made another "continental mistake" by offering an electric car that can run up to 350 kilometers per hour.

The European Union has dropped tariff bombs of up to 45% to put the brakes on the Chinese electric car rampage.

This is Beijing correspondent Kang Jeong-gyu.

Xiaomi's electric car has launched a challenge in Nurburgring, Germany, which is considered a sacred place for motor racing.

The top speed taken in the straightaway state was 20.8 kilometers, with a time of 324 kilometers per hour and 6:46.874.

It is the fastest four-door vehicle for mass production.

Xiaomi's 'SU7 Ultra', which will be officially released in March next year, has been unveiled.

The design maximum speed is 350km/h, surpassing the Porsche Taycan Turbo.

The price is 814,900 yuan, about 150 million won, which is the same as the Tesla Model S Plaid's sale price in China.

The response was so hot that more than 3,600 orders poured out in 10 minutes of pre-orders.

Xiaomi, which entered the electric vehicle market in April, set an annual production target of 120,000 vehicles.

Given that Tesla took 12 years to produce 100,000 units, it's a terrifying pace.

It is still focusing on the Chinese domestic market, but it is highly likely to enter overseas markets in two to three years.

The EU has dropped a tariff bomb of up to 45.3% to prevent a cost-effective Chinese electric vehicles from being charged.

It is not possible to compete fairly with Chinese electric vehicles that receive government subsidies and export them.

China accuses it of protectionism and is suing the WTO while continuing further negotiations with the EU.
