Following Yang Geum-deok, a victim of Japan's forced labor, Lee Chun-sik was also confirmed to have received compensation for damages through a third-party repayment method.

However, Lee Chun-sik's eldest son questioned Lee's decision, saying he is currently in a difficult situation to express his opinion, and decided to discuss cancellation of receipt with his brothers.

Lee Chun-sik, a victim of Japanese forced labor, accepted the government's "third-party reimbursement" method of compensation for damages.

It was confirmed that Lee Chun-sik's grandfather received compensation and delayed interest from the Japanese Foundation for Compulsory Mobilization Victims.

However, Lee Chun-sik's eldest son said he did not know about it and that it was difficult for Lee to express his intention.

[Lee Chang-hwan / Lee Chun-sik, grandfather, eldest son: My father has been in a nursing hospital for a while due to old age and delirium, and it is difficult to communicate normally. I will also discuss if I can cancel it (with my brothers).]

Grandfather Lee Chun-sik has rejected the government's proposal, saying he would receive direct compensation from the Japanese side until recently with Yang Geum-deok, who filed a lawsuit together.

He also strongly criticized the Korean government for reimbursing on behalf of Japan.

[Yang Geum-duk / Victim of Japanese forced mobilization: I honestly have no idea whether the president is the president of our country or a foreign president]

Even when Yang Geum-deok received the compensation last week, there was no clear explanation from her or her family.Of the 15 people who filed the lawsuit first, including grandmother

and grandfather Lee, all survivors received compensation, but the compensation process has not been completed. The bereaved families of the late grandfather Jeong Chang-hee and the late grandmother Park Hae-ok, who became the deceased

, still refuse to receive compensation.

In addition, it is still questionable whether this method is a complete solution as even "third party repayment" has not been made for 52 additional winners due to lack of financial resources.

On top of that, it is pointed out that there are still many mountains to overcome as dozens of lawsuits are underway in each court seeking compensation for damages from forced labor by the Japanese colonial rule.
