The Korea Meteorological Administration (KMA) said that the typhoon "Kongrey," which is currently very powerful, will develop into a "super-strong" typhoon with a central wind speed of 55 meters per second and nearly 200 kilometers per hour overnight.
Kong Lei is expected to hit Taiwan tomorrow afternoon (31st) while maintaining strong power.
But after passing Taiwan, which is surrounded by high mountain ranges, its power will be greatly weakened, and then it will move along the southern coast of China and become weaker.
The agency expected the typhoon to move northward along China's southern coast later in the week and weaken to a temperate depression.
Korea will not be directly affected by typhoons, but the rain clouds will increase the waves on the South Sea later in the week, and the rain and wind will strengthen on Jeju Island and some coasts.
