Below 10,000 Seoul housing transactions in September...Malicious Unsold Increase

The monthly housing transaction volume in Seoul fell below 10,000 in three months due to government loan regulations.

According to the "September Housing Statistics" released by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, the nationwide housing transaction volume last month was 52,267, down 15.5% from August.

Housing transactions in Seoul, which exceeded 10,000 in a row in July and August, fell to 8,266 last month, down 25.3% from August, of which 4,951 were apartment transactions, down 35% from August.

In addition, the number of jeonse transactions nationwide in September was 85,595, down 7.5% from the same period last year, and the monthly rent transaction was down 8.8% to 108,551.

Monthly rent accounted for 57.4% of the jeonse and monthly rent transactions between January and September this year, up 2.3%p from the same period last year.

The total number of unsold homes has been on the decline for three months, but the number of unsold homes after completion, which is classified as malicious, has increased by 4.9% from August to 17,262, the 14th consecutive month of increase since August last year.

The nationwide housing licensing volume in September was 18,486 households, down 32.8% from the same period last year, and housing starts were up 47.5% to 29,983.

Sales in September were 24,44, up 43.1% from the same period last year, and completion was 42,224, up 59.8%.
