The very strongly developed typhoon 'Kongrey' is expected to gradually weaken as it passes through Taiwan today (31st), and then weaken to a temperate low pressure at sea.

In Korea, there is no direct impact from typhoons, but between tomorrow and the morning after tomorrow, there will be rain and wind on Jeju Island and the southern coast, and the waves will increase over the southern coast.

According to the Korea Meteorological Administration, Typhoon 'Kong Lei' is about to land in Taiwan, and the intensity of the typhoon overnight is not at the level of super-strong. It said it developed to a "very strong level" with a central atmospheric pressure of up to 920 hPa (hectopascal) and a central wind speed of more than 184 km/h.

In the future, Typhoon 'Kongrey' will pass through Taiwan and weaken from 'very strong' to 'medium intensity',

Tomorrow and the day after tomorrow, it is expected to move north along the southern coast of China and gradually weaken to a temperate cyclone at sea.

Due to the rain clouds left by the typhoon, Korea will receive more than 200mm in the mountains of Jeju Island, more than 80mm on the southern coast, and 5 to 40mm in the southern part of the country, and the waves will rise at sea.
