In a statement condemning North Korea, the Joint Chiefs of Staff criticized North Korea's launch of long-range ballistic missiles as a provocation that clearly violated U.N. Security Council resolutions banning the use of ballistic missile technology and scientific and technological cooperation.
He also condemned the Kim Jong-un regime's illegal and reckless provocations and strongly urged it to immediately stop acts that damage peace and stability on the Korean Peninsula and the international community, such as continuous spraying of dirt and garbage balloons, sending bulletproof mercenaries to Russia, and preparing for a nuclear test.
He emphasized that despite repeated warnings, they are carrying out illegal provocations, and that he once again sternly warns that North Korea is solely responsible for all subsequent events.
