Former lawmaker Choi and lawyer Hwang Hee-seok filed an appeal to the Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office today (31st) to cancel the decision not to indict Kim Gun-hee.
Before submitting the appeal, former lawmaker Choi insisted to reporters that the investigation team should find out whether the crime of women who exercise the nation's highest power even by turning a blind eye to normal evidence.
He added that the prosecution would distribute false press releases and hold the media accountable for deceiving them at briefings, adding that it intends to proceed with a complaint against the investigation team and a demand for the inspection of the Supreme Prosecutors' Office next week.
Earlier on the 17th, the prosecution dismissed Kim's alleged violation of the Capital Markets Act, saying there was no evidence to believe that she was aware of or participated in the stock price manipulation.
