The court has put a brake on the Korea Communications Commission's appointment of major shareholders of MBC and new directors of the Korea Broadcasting Culture Promotion Association by the resolution of two members of the Korea Communications Commission.

The Seoul High Court today (1st) rejected the Korea Communications Commission's appeal against the decision to suspend the execution of the appointment of visiting directors.

In August, the first trial court accepted an application for suspension of execution filed by Chairman Moon Jae-in, Kwon Tae-sun and others against the Korea Communications Commission to "prevent the appointment of new directors," and this decision was maintained.

As a result, it is impossible for the new board members to take office until the results of the main lawsuit are released.

In July, the Korea Communications Commission appointed six directors from the ruling camp within 10 hours of the appointment of Chairman Lee Jin-sook and member Kim Tae-kyu.

In response, Chairman Kwon and others filed an application for suspension of execution to the court and filed an administrative lawsuit, asking "to stop the effect of the appointment disposition."
