"North Korea's unilateral and hostile actions seriously affect peace and security in Europe and the world," Borrell, who visited Japan, told the Nihon Keizai Shimbun in a written interview.
It also added that it is coordinating with partner countries regarding this.
Borrell also said that the European Union and Japan will take cooperation in the security and defense sectors to a new level, explaining that there will be an exchange of information in the defense sector and an exchange of views to strengthen the supply chain.
Representative Borrell met with Japanese Defense Minister Ken Nakatani today, and will then visit South Korea on the 4th to meet with Foreign Minister Cho Tae-yeol and Defense Minister Kim Yong-hyun to discuss countermeasures against the dispatch of North Korean troops.
