The Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency said it will control the lanes of the Sangam World Cup Park section, the full course gathering and departure point for the marathon, from 5 a.m. to 10 a.m.
Then, lanes in downtown areas such as Mapo Bridge, Cheonggyecheon-ro, and Jamsil Bridge will be controlled in turn, and the Olympic Park section, which is the destination, will be controlled until 1:30 p.m.
The 10km course from Sangam-dong to Yeouido Park is controlled from 5 a.m. to 12 p.m.
In order to reduce traffic congestion and inconvenience to citizens, 1,437 people, including traffic police, will be deployed around the control section to induce vehicle diversion.
