The British government has urged North Korea to stop escalating the war, saying 10,000 North Korean soldiers have arrived in Russia and many are heading to Kursk.

"We believe 10,000 North Korean troops have arrived in eastern Russia, and many of them are heading to Kursk to help Putin launch an illegal invasion of Ukraine," a spokesman for the British prime minister's office said on the 1st local time.

A spokesman for the Prime Minister's Office said North Korea's dispatch was an "extensive act of invasion" and "strongly urge North Korea to stop this."

Earlier, the U.S. government also announced that 10,000 North Korean soldiers arrived in eastern Russia on the 28th of last month, and 8,000 were stationed in the Kursk region on the 31st.
