Lee Jae-myung, chairman of the Democratic Party of Korea, said, "It was the people who stood up and acted at every juncture in history," and said, "Let's judge the unjust anti-national power."

Representative Lee made the remarks at an outdoor rally held by the Democratic Party of Korea in Seoul Station, citing the April 19 Revolution in 1960, the June 1987 uprising, and the 2016 candlelight revolution.

He then emphasized that the darkness driven by the candle returned to a greater and darker darkness, but it would prove once again that darkness cannot beat the light.

He added, "Let's fight together until the people prove that they are the masters of this country, and the president acknowledges that he is not the ruler, but the public's public service."
