Police have launched an investigation after a body believed to be a woman in her early 30s was found on the Bukhangang River in Hwacheon, Gangwon Province.
At around 2:50 p.m. yesterday (2nd), a report was received that a part of the body had surfaced from the Bukhangang River in front of Hwacheon Gymnasium in Hwacheon-eup.
Police then resumed the search this morning, finding and lifting several more damaged bodies near the dock on the island of crucian carp.
Police are looking for a suspect as they identify the woman, leaving open the possibility that her body may have been damaged after she was killed.
