The FBI released a statement on the 2nd local time, saying, "There are videos that the FBI claims to have identified three organizations that committed election fraud, and videos related to the husband of Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris."
He then confirmed, "These videos were not provided by the FBI, and the contents of the videos are false."
"The FBI's top priority is that the election will be held perfectly," he said. "The FBI is working closely with law enforcement agencies in each region to respond to threats to the election."
"Trying to deceive the public with false information about FBI activities aims to undermine our democratic process and undermine confidence in the election system," he said.
On the previous day, the FBI issued a joint statement with the Office of the Director of National Intelligence and the Cyber Infrastructure Security Agency, pointing out that Russia was involved in spreading false information in relation to the U.S. presidential election.
