The win-win consultative body between the delivery platform and the store companies will hold its 10th meeting today (4th) afternoon to come up with a plan to cut delivery fees.

At today's meeting, delivery platforms, store companies, and public interest committee members will focus on ways to reduce commission rates, a key issue that has not been reached even in marathon negotiations, at the 9th meeting on the 30th.

At the 9th meeting, public interest committee members, including academics and consumer groups, reportedly proposed lowering the highest fee rate to 7.8% for the industry's No. 1 Baedal Minjok, and drastically expanding the coverage of differential fees below 6.8% to the bottom 80% of sales.

Public interest committee members are also said to have proposed that Coupang Eats pay a large portion of the delivery cost to Coupang Eats, which suggested that the top commission rate be reduced to 5%, but that the owners pay all the delivery costs.

At today's 10th meeting, the key is what measures Baemin and Coupang Eats will propose to the public interest committee members.
